Solaris/x86 vs. Linux/x86
Solaris 10 wird für x86 frei erhätlich sein. Ich hatte Solaris 9 erfolgreich auf einem VMWare-PC installieren können, mangels weiterer Kentnisse jedoch nichts mehr damit gemacht. Dabei hatte ich bisher im Hinterkopf, dass Solaris im Gegensatz zu Linux ein besseres Scheduling hätte. Das wäre sehr interessant für Server, deren Load regelmäßig über 100 ist… Gibt [...]
